As far as bargains go, Dolly Parton has made it more affordable than ever to provide quality books to children every month. Each book costs us only $2.08. This means that it only takes us $25 to provide a child with books for a year and $125 to provide that child with books for 5 years.  The Lowndes County Imagination Library is sustained by community donations, grant funding, and corporate sponsorships. It is always FREE to participants. Those who donate recognize the change an investment in early literacy programming can bring to their communities in the long-run.
