Free Book Sign Up
Your child can be signed up to receive a free book every month until they turn 5 years old. In fact, you can sign your child up on the day they are born and receive 60 FREE age-appropriate, fun books by their 5th birthday. Popular books similar and sometimes even the same as those we sent out could be over $10 each at your local book store. Please take advantage of this wonderful early-literacy program! If you feel you could afford the books as a family but still want your child to feel the excitement of receiving a book of their very own in the mail every month, please consider donating $25 to the Lowndes County Imagination Library. This amount roughly covers our operating cost of sending one child twelve books over the course of the year; it's still much more inexpensive than 12 books from the bookstore and a great investment in your community.

Donation Certificates
For a base donation of $35.oo, you can give the gift of books + a formal donation certificate from the Lowndes County Imagination Library to a child in your life! Providing a participant with a book a month for five years from our program is only $125, a fraction of the cost of what it would take to provide them with the same number of books from a commercial book store. If you would like to sign up a friend’s child or family member as a gift, please make a note on the donation page that you would like us to contact you about creating a custom certificate which you can then gift to them. Certificates are a great idea for birthdays and baby showers! They can be customized to reflect any occasion. Example text includes: “In Memory of”, “In Honor of”, and “In Celebration of”.
